The donation ceremony was held on January 16 at the President’s Office. Kang Eun-jung, Standing Director of the DB Kim Jun Ki Cultural Foundation, Song Kyung-joo, Deputy General Manager, as well as President Won Jong-pil, Executive Vice President for Public Affairs Lee Young-beom, Vice President for Office of Public Affairs Hong Kwon-ho, and Director of Office of Public Affairs Lee Seung-chang were present.

During the ceremony, Standing Director Kang Eun-jung expressed her hope that the Dream Support Global Scholarship would help alleviate the financial burden on students, allowing them to focus on their studies and pursue their dreams.

President Won Jong-pil responded that the donated funds would be used wisely for the benefit of the university and its students.

The Dream Support Global Scholarship, sponsored by the DB Kim Jun ki Cultural Foundation, is designed to support international students who are dedicated to their studies but face financial difficulties in continuing their education. The scholarship enables them to maintain a stable academic environment and achieve their goals by helping to ease their living expenses. From this year onward, the foundation will donate KRW 30 million per year for the next five years, for a total of KRW 150 million.

Additionally, the DB Kim Jun ki Cultural Foundation continues its efforts to improve Korea's education through initiatives such as the DB Dream Leader Scholarship and the DB Dream Big Scholarship. Since 2011, the Foundation has extended its support beyond Korea to Vietnam, where it has provided scholarships for low-income students, supported libraries, donated educational materials, and even helped establish preschools to improve the local educational landscape.

Established in December 1988 by DB Group Founder Kim Jun ki, the DB Kim Jun Ki Cultural Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting education. With contributions from Kim Jun Ki and additional support from DB Group affiliates, the Foundation has grown into an organization with assets of KRW 500 billion and continues its efforts in the promotion of public welfare.
